I became a 49er fan when my sister, who then lived in San Mateo, CA. brought me to my first game at Candlestick Park in 1979. It was Joe Montana’s rookie year and my first NFL game. I loved seeing the 49ers play so much that I’ve been a fan ever since. I’ve had the opportunity to see them play three times at Candlestick Park and for me, living in Wisconsin, I feel very fortunate to have been there. Unfortunately, my sisters no longer live in the Bay area.
Shan Berries – Sunday October 6th, 2013
Shan Berries will be performing her 49er Anthem “See Us Score” at The Stick on Sunday at the VIP tailgate party for all the alumni players and Jed York, the owner of the 49ers!
She will also be out in the main plaza meeting fans and possibly performing out there too. If you’re at the game stop by and say hi!

As a kid in the 80s, Jose Membreno was born into an era where he witnessed legendary players winning Super Bowls and fans celebrating in the streets of San Francisco. There was so much pride growing up as a 49ers fan from the players to the coaches and admiring the way Eddie D did things.
Even through the rough times he never lost faith because he always knew that such a historic and classy franchise would rise to the top once again. Membreno told us, “To me, being a 49er meant being faithful and loyal to the fullest no matter how many dark times we encountered.”

When I walked down to my seat all I heard from all the Rams fans was “Oh My God”.. When I got to my seat in the front row,,the Rams fan had her back to me, so I stood staring at her for a long time. When she turned around and looked up at me,,she said “Oh boy,,,,Its gonna be a long game”… I just nodded……..
I will say she was a true fan because she stayed till the end, when all the others left….. She probably figured she was getting on TV,,,she figured right!
