49ers Weekly with Dexter Carter – Divisional Playoff Preview

The playoffs are here and for the first time since the 2013 season, the San Francisco 49ers will be participating in a Divisional Round matchup.

The Minnesota Vikings are coming to town and this matchup should shape up into a good one.

Join Matt Andruscavage and former 49ers running back Dexter Carter as they break down this matchup to find where each team has an advantage.

The 49ers are getting linebacker Kwon Alexander, safety Jaquiski Tartt, and defensive end Dee Ford back to their defense, making that unit even better than it was.

Minnesota, on the other hand, has players down in the secondary and Xavier Rhodes is not the same player he has been, which could mean some big gains by the 49er offense.

The game should come down to how each defense handles the opposition’s running game as well as how they protect their quarterback.

49ers Weekly Podcast with Dexter Carter – Rams Preview

Join Matt Andruscavage and former 49ers running back Dexter Carter as they break down the 49ers’ loss to the Falcons, the playoff possibilities and Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Despite this being the third loss of the season (all of them at the buzzer), the 49ers are unshaken. They will be ready to right the ship against the Rams and will see the return of cornerbacks Richard Sherman and K’Waun Williams, who were out against the Falcons.

If the 49ers win out, they will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. If they lose Saturday, they can still win the division and either a first round by or even home field advantage, with a win over Seattle. The season is far from over and these last two games will tell us a lot about where things are.

In other notes, George Kittle will become the first 49er since Anquan Boldin to have back to back 1,000 yard seasons if he gets 112 yards the rest of the way.

Kittle, Kyle Juszczyk, Nick Bosa, and Richard Sherman were voted to the Pro Bowl. There were also 8 alternates.
