C.J.Beathard immediately becomes a 49ers faithful fave, because not many trust Brian Hoyer. Trent Taylor meanwhile is coming off an outstanding minicamp and was said to have held a clinic this past Friday in the final rookie workouts.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo Jerome has been impressive which could ease the minds of those of us who are concerned about a backup for presumed starting free safety Jimmie Ward. Are you entertaining fears about how you heard Akhello Witherspoon was performing in camp? The 49ers signed him already!

Frank Gore, turns 34 on this particular Sunday May 14! We came close to a title in 2012 with Frank, and the rest of the 49ers cast. Had they gave the ball to Frank on the play near the goal line maybe we would have! No matter what, Gore eventually will be standing next to a bronze likeness of himself one state to the east from where he currently plays. Hall of fame and pure 49ers class all the way. Happy Birthday to Frank Gore!
