Reuben Foster was no surprise to be picked in the first round, but Solomon Thomas may have been in the eyes of many a 49ers fan. John Lynch got Foster the hard way, and narrowly missed adding him to the roster while the solid pick Thomas was picked right after the 49ers made a fool out of GM Ryan Pace of the Chicago Bears! There was mixed emotions in the first day meeting of those who wanted to go offense in order to supply Kyle Shanahan’s army.
