Day II of the NFL draft was interesting. Ahkello Witherspoon, CB, Colorado, An athletic, 6-foot-3 corner, Witherspoon led the nation with 13 pass breakups in 2016 according to Pro Football Focus. Yyyyesssssss! Also C.J. Beathard, QB, Iowa. One of Iowa’s winningest quarterbacks of all-time was named team MVP and second-team All-Big Ten honors as a junior in 2015.

Since Reuben Foster cost the 49ers their second round pick. The intensity of the occasion calmed down a bit for the 49ers. In the second round we were watching other teams pick up players we wanted, and we’re freaking out. Again however the 49ers did not pick up anybody destined to be cut. Lynch and Shananahan are so efficient that it is scary!
