Jimmy Garoppolo came on last week for the 49ers vs the Seahawks game and the Niner Empire is still buzzing. The command of the offense by Garoppolo with not a single wasted down was something not seen on the San Francisco side of the NFL in years! In a little over a minute Garoppolo just outside of the 20 yard line had done what no other 49ers quarterback has been able to achieve against the Hawks in seven years of misery during the regular season. Garoppolo had just broken the drought by hitting wide receiver Louis Murphy JR for a touchdown to end the curse of having not done so with any wide receiver since 2010.
49ers fans are seeing this particular touchdown as an omen of much better days ahead. Garoppolo has franchise quarterback written all over him.The could especially be a reality while being in the hands of Kyle Shanahan. He is seen as one of the best quarterback, and X’s & O’s coaches in the game today.
It’s on to Chicago to find out just how good Jimmy Garoppolo just may be, as he is about to go under center for the first time in a 49ers uniform as the man in charged of the offense.
Jimmy does not have full command of Shanahan’s complicated offense, but he has the confidence of his coach of being able enough to run the red & gold offense this upcoming Sunday against the Bears who are coming off a stinging defeat at the hands of the Eagles. Shanahan will tailor an offense just for Garoppolo just for this occasion.
